Point in Time Count Data

Every year in January, the Continuum of Care is tasked with planning a one night Point in Time (PiT) count of persons who are homeless. HUD publishes instructions every year on their website (link to HUD will open in a new tab website) .

During the Point in Time, most area shelters provide count information to the CoC. Volunteers also work with service providers and outreach persons to coordinate street counts. Our CoC also asks people who are experiencing homelessness to participate in a survey that helps track their experience with homelessness in our community. That data can be found on the Vulnerability Survey Page (link will open in a new page).

The Point in Time Report for 2019 includes data from the past 5 years.
