Dear Community Partners:

The Western Virginia Continuum of Care (CoC) is proud of its members’ commitment to the goal of making homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring in the Shenandoah Valley.

It is with this vision in mind that we invite any organization or individual in the CoC’s region (Counties of Clarke, Frederick, Page, Rockingham, Shenandoah, Warren and the cities of Harrisonburg and Winchester) that is interested in ending homelessness to join the Western Virginia CoC and work to promote progress and housing stability in our community.

Through the CoC’s platform, community stakeholders can engage on issues affecting unhoused individuals and other at-risk populations in our region, and develop measures and interventions necessary to end homelessness. CoC meetings are held every other month and are open to the general public. Community representatives outlined in the 24 CFR § 578.3 are encouraged to participate and can join the CoC at any time. There is no fee associated with membership.

Membership in the CoC offers many benefits, including:

  • Joining a robust network of agencies working to end homelessness
  • Helping coordinate and implement housing and services systems in our region
  • Developing measures and interventions to eradicate homelessness in Western Virginia

Interested individuals and entities may submit written membership requests using the appropriate CoC Membership Application form, either for individuals or organizations.

Sincerely,

Western Virginia CoC Coordinator
